This 400-acre site features 9 Independent ranges with over 110 individual covered firing points, over 50 pistol positions, and distances from 7 yards for handguns to 300 yards on paper for rifles

Certain firearms are restricted. No handguns larger than .44 Magnum and no shotshell-firing handguns are permitted.
Centerfire rifles and carbines are not allowed.

Public Hours:  Wednesday, Thursday from 7pm–9pm
Fee: $10 per shooter
Eye and ear protection are available if needed.

Showing up at the range without knowing what you’re doing is not a good plan.

Get some training first so you understand how to safely handle your firearm,
follow range commands, and actually hit what you’re aiming at.

Basic Range Safety Rules

  • Treat every firearm as loaded
  • Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction
  • Finger off the trigger until ready to fire
  • Know your target and what’s beyond it
  • Follow all range commands
  • Wear eye and ear protection

Find the Range

From I-25 take Hwy 50 West to Pueblo Blvd. Head south to Goodnight Ave, turn into City Park,
and continue toward the Pueblo Zoo parking area. The range is just north of the zoo entrance.

Cactus Flats Gun Range is located just a few miles East of  Canon City, Colorado,
​ just off  Highway 50.  A short drive from Colorado Springs and Pueblo. From the Intersection of 50 and 67, go North to the first intersection (County Road 123) and turn right. Go only a few hundred yards and turn right.

The Pueblo West Sportsman’s Association (PWSA) provides southern Colorado sportsmen with a convenient, well-maintained places to shoot. The various on-site ranges can accommodate rifle, pistol, and shotgun shooters, as well as archery and black powder. Although it is a private facility, non-members can use the facilities for a small fee if they are accompanied by a member.

Republic Shooting Range has over 500 acres of beautiful Colorado plains and complimented by the Cottonwood lined river banks of the Huerfano River and features an approximately 3,000 sq ft club house with a full commercial kitchen and a comfortable lounge area with a big screen TV to watch the football game our your favorite hunting program. Challenge yourself on our 10 station sporting clays, and pistol and rifle shooting berms 

pueblo skeet and trap Pueblo Skeet and Trap Club is a shotgun only range offering three voice activated regulation trap fields, each with stations from 16 to 27 yards, along with two ​regulation skeet fields. The club is maintained and operated entirely by it’s members. Whether you are a seasoned shooter or just curious what the sport is all about we welcome you to spend some time at the club. 

The Cheyenne Mountain Shooting Complex is a joint project between the U.S. Army, El Paso County, the El Paso County Sheriff and Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the U.S. Forest Service. The CMSC also received a significant contribution from The National Rifle Association (NRA). The 400 acre site sits on Army land near Interstate 25 just off mile marker 132. The entrance is located just outside Fort Carson’s Gate 20 security perimeter. Shooters using the range will not have to enter Fort Carson to use the places to shoot. The Range Complex is a three (3) phase project. Phase one is now complete and includes 120 shooting positions across seven (7) ranges.
